Media Release: Reebok ZPump Fusion Revolutionize Running With New Custom Fit Technology

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – 10 March 2015: Reebok, the global pioneer in fitness innovation, launched the revolutionary new ZPump Fusion in Kuala Lumpur today; a running shoe that uniquely conforms and adapts to any foot.

The ZPump Fusion was unveiled at a Reebok FitHub Nu Sentral Mall where guests explored, through interactive try on experience, how Reebok has revolutionized its iconic innovation – The Pump technology – to create the new ZPump Fusion.

Kuala Lumpur has a unique fusion of different types of people from all over the world – many of which have a serious passion for running and fitness. “The ZPump Fusion is a huge step forward in the Reebok running category so we decided to come here for what is one of the brands biggest and most anticipated launches in our recent history,” said Matt O’Toole, President of Reebok.

A video posted by runwitme (@runwitme) on

Miss Malaysia Universe 2013 Carey Ng is pretty excited about Reebok Zpump Fusion launch.

Boasting a new and proprietary air-filled cage that surrounds and molds to any foot providing a custom, locked-in fit, the ZPump Fusion represents a revolutionary new approach to The Pump technology and how runners experience fit.

“Many running shoes are developed around a rigid, factory-developed last shape that can never be a true representation of your unique foot. The ZPump Fusion is completely structure-less when not inflated and then molds to the individual shape of your foot once you put it on and inflate. It conforms to the shape of your foot to give you a locked-in, custom fit when you run. To get that security, you may need three pumps or you may need eight pumps – it is fully customizable for each person,” said Paul Litchfield, original inventor of The Pump and Head of Reebok Advanced Concepts.

Unlike a traditional running shoe which is often made up of over 40 individual parts; the Reebok ZPump Fusion is made up of just three key parts, meaning no rigid components that restrict movement in the foot. Each of the three parts in the ZPump Fusion works together to deliver improved fit and control.

1. The Pump technology – The revolutionary air-filled cage is lightweight and fully customizable that pumps up and wraps around the individual shapes and contours of the foot to deliver a locked-in custom fit to achieve maximum performance.

2. The Fusion Sleeve – The Fusion Sleeve is a four way stretch sleeve that holds together the key components of the ZPump Fusion. A lightweight and seamless compression sleeve, it fuses The Pump technology to any runners’ foot to provide improved control and comfort as they run.

3. ZRATED outsole – The high-speed, underfoot performance that is essential to any high tempo running shoe is provided by the ZRATED outsole. Inspired by high performance ZRATED tires, the edges and underfoot grooves provide increased handling and control so runners can stop, start and turn on a dime.

When The Pump actuator on the heel of the ZPump Fusion is pushed, air is channeled through the valve and into the air-filled cage enabling it to fill and clasp around the upper and heel in a way that is unique to each foot. To release the air, runners can simply deflate using the release valve.

“The evolution we have made to The Pump technology in the ZPump Fusion is a huge step forward for Reebok and is keeping with our constant drive for new innovations. Runners have been waiting for a shoe that can be customized to their individual foot shape. The Reebok ZPump Fusion is the shoe that does it. We are excited to get it on the feet of runners because we know they will feel the difference immediately” said Bill McInnis, Head of Running – Reebok.

Revolutionizing The Pump technology with the unique Reebok ZPump Fusion is part of the global fitness brand’s mission to change how people perceive and experience fitness. Reebok has issued a bold challenge for the world to “Be More Human” as part of its new brand campaign; a unique point of view that embodies the brand’s new symbol, the Reebok Delta.

“Reebok believes that by pushing ourselves to the brink and testing our limitations, we become better partners, leaders, parents and better friends. By adopting a Reebok approach to your fitness lifestyle, you can aim to be the best you can be socially, mentally and physically. To be more in tune with that natural, human part of yourself that fitness can explore”, said O’Toole.

“The ZPump Fusion doesn’t just provide a locked-in custom fit for your feet, it also locks you into focus so you can push your body, test those limits and Be More Human”.

Media Release: Milo Malaysia Breakfast Day Reaches Out To More Malaysians

Kuala Lumpur, 25 March 2015 – MILO®, the leading breakfast beverage loved by all Malaysians, makes its return by going further and fueling a bigger mission to connect with more Malaysians nationwide on its breakfast beliefs with Malaysia Breakfast Day – Malaysia’s largest breakfast gathering. This year, the annual Malaysia Breakfast Day will be expanded to three cities – Putrajaya, Kuching, and Ipoh.

“Malaysia Breakfast Day was received very positively in the previous years. By expanding our outreach beyond Kuala Lumpur, we hope that more Malaysians will feel closer to The MILO® Breakfast cause and support this movement together with family and friends,” says Philomena Tan, Business Executive Manager of MILO® Business Unit in Nestle. “More Malaysians can now join us with our expanded event footprints across Malaysia.”

Running for its third consecutive year, Malaysia Breakfast Day will be held in Ipoh, Perak on 12th April 2015, Kuching, Sarawak on 26th April 2015, and Dataran Putrajaya on 10th May 2015.

Tan adds that the anticipation of Malaysia Breakfast Day rises from it being not only the largest breakfast gathering but beyond. “More breakfast gatherings mean more breakfast eating conversion and more families convinced to be breakfast advocators. Multiple touch-points are important for us to reach out to as many people as possible. We always have great line-ups of activities during Malaysia Breakfast Day so we are thrilled that more Malaysians would be able to join the breakfast occasion with us this year.”

Alongside with the 7-km and 3-km runs during Malaysia Breakfast Day, there will be a series of interactive and fun-filled activities available for every member of the family. The 3-km fun run is designed for families’ while the 7-km run is for the running enthusiasts.

Most importantly, MILO®’s paramount mission in rallying the nation to have the right nutritional breakfast choices apart from having an active lifestyle will be further amplified through a healthy spread of local breakfast delights available to all participants in Malaysia Breakfast Day.

MILO® believes that raising awareness is important but driving change is pivotal in shifting the perceptions of the nation. The MILO® Breakfast Movement.is a call for action aimed at Malaysians to make right nutritional decisions for their children and also for their family. "As an advocator of healthy living, we believe that the nation can adopt an improved view on healthy living and start practicing towards a healthier eating nation,” adds Tan.

She continues: “As the number one choice of breakfast beverage, we want to continue to provide the right energy for Malaysians to take on their day and start the day right. Together with balanced food intake, MILO®’s perfect ratio of nutrients will provide Malaysians with the much needed fuel to take on both physical and mental challenges each day.”

Cher Siew Wei, corporate wellness manager of Nestle, explains: “We mustn’t forget that skipping breakfast deprives children of energy needed to stay focused and alert. Not only that, kids grow in their sleep and lose 80% of their energy when they wake up; which is why, they must have breakfast to recharge for the day.” Siew Wei and her team of nutritionists will be at Malaysia Breakfast Days to remind Malaysians on the importance of not skipping breakfast and offer advice and information relating to appropriate breakfast nutrition, right balance of nutrients that each member of the family needs.

MILO® will also further engage Malaysians on the importance of breakfast and drive participation of Malaysia Breakfast Day via activities in-store and on-ground from April to June 2015.

An informative breakfast webpage (www.milo.com.my/breakfast) is available for those connected online, where they can find creative breakfast ideas and tips for a healthier start of the day.

MILO® hopes that people will still be part of the Malaysia Breakfast Day even if they can’t make it to the events. “Malaysia Breakfast Day is bigger than just being a large breakfast gathering. It is a drive to ask Malaysians to have MILO® with breakfast wherever they are and be a MILO® breakfast advocator with us.”

To be a part of the movement, Malaysians are encouraged to hashtag #mbd2015 when they are having breakfast no matter where they are.

Media Release: The Evolution of Visible Air (Nike Air Max)

In 1987, Nike Air was not a new proposition. Runners were already familiar with the benefits of the cushioning technology, which first appeared in the Nike Tailwind in 1978. But seeing is believing.

Nike Air hit a high when it became more than a feeling. Nike designer Tinker Hatfield set out to make the breakthrough technology visible so runners could better understand its cushioning benefits. He created the Nike Air Max with Visible Air, which gave birth to a franchise that forever altered the course of sneakers.

“I remember the first blow-molded Air-Sole unit. We worked so hard on that and had no idea if people would embrace it. I was at an airport right around the time the first Air Max sneaker launched. I was calling a tech in the lab when someone walked by wearing a pair. I stared at him from the phone booth and said, ‘Somebody bought them. I see the Air-Sole going up and down.’ It was a big risk, but bigger reward. For the Air Max family, it's only up from here.” - David Forland

This program was founded in 2013, whereby in 2013 and 2014, the committee had an one-day-off event in Taylor's Lakeside University which involved kids from several orphanages. The committee organised makeshift classrooms which taught the children knowledge beyond the academia.

For 2015, the existing committee has decided to make a change - instead of organising another one-day event, they are committed to have their very own CXP Project, in which committee members planned the curriculum and conduct weekly classes at an orphanage for the span of 8 months.

The curriculum now spans 3 main divisions, namely Academics, Sports & Excursions, and Soft Skills & Performing Arts.

As an added incentive, the first ten corporate teams to register will have their USD405 registration fee refunded. Registration for the TIME Corporate Challenge closes on 23 March 2015.

The IRONMAN 70.3® Putrajaya event will take place on 5 April 2015 at the national administrative capital’s iconic Millennium Monument and Putrajaya Lake, which embody some of the most beautiful natural landscapes and modern architecture in Malaysia.

Note: IRONMAN 70.3® Putrajaya also introduced a fringe event which incorporate athletes to try out duathlon if they are not fit /unable to swim. Thereafter, they can train for their swim for future IRONMAN 70.3.
